Terms of Sale

Made In the Hood LLC Last updated: August 1, 2026

Buying something here means you agree to what's on this page. It's short on purpose.

Who you're buying from

Made In the Hood LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company, out of New Orleans.

What we sell, and how much of it

Everything here is made in small runs. When a size is gone it's gone, and it may not come back.

If something sells out between the moment you add it and the moment you pay, the checkout will stop you before it takes your money. If somehow it slips through and we can't fill your order, you get a full refund within three business days — not store credit, your money back.

Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time, but never on an order that's already placed.

Sizing — read this before you order

Our labels run big. A size Large fits like a small-to-medium. A size XL fits like a large-to-XL.

If you normally wear a Large, order a Medium.

We put this on every product page as well as here, because it's the single thing most likely to get you the wrong shirt.

Paying

Payment is taken by Stripe. We accept the cards and wallets they support.

Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our systems — we can't see your card number, and neither can anybody who breaks into our website.

Your order isn't confirmed until Stripe tells us the payment cleared. If it doesn't clear, nothing was ordered and nothing was charged.

Louisiana sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

Getting it to you

Pickup

Pick a window at checkout. We publish the windows we can actually be there for:

You'll get the address by text once your payment clears. Bring your order number.

Need a different time? There's an inquiry box at checkout — tell us what works and we'll try. It's a real person answering, not an automatic yes.

If you don't come get it — read this before you choose pickup.

You have 14 days from the day your payment clears. That's six pickup windows. We'll remind you on day 3, day 7 and day 12.

After 14 days we ship it to you instead, and shipping is on you. We'll send you a link to enter your address and pay the shipping. Your piece isn't cancelled and it isn't refunded — it's just coming by mail now.

If that link goes unpaid for another 16 days (30 days total), the piece goes back on the shelf and what you paid becomes store credit, good for a year. Not a refund — the piece was held for you for a month.

Why this is here: everything is a small run. A piece sitting in a bag with your name on it for three weeks is a piece nobody else could buy.

Shipping

Flat rate, shown at checkout before you pay. We ship within the United States.

Orders go out within 3 business days. Once it's with the carrier, how fast it moves is up to them — we'll send you the tracking number and you'll know as much as we do.

Risk passes to you when the carrier takes it. If it's lost or damaged in transit, see the next section — we'll still make it right, but a carrier problem is a claim, not an instant refund.

Returns

All sales are final. This is a small brand doing limited runs, not a department store.

The one exception: it showed up damaged

If your piece arrives torn, stained, misprinted, or wrong, email us within 2 days and send a photo.

Those 2 days start the day it lands — the day the carrier drops it off, or the day you pick it up from us.

We'll either replace it or refund it, your choice. If it needs to come back to us, we pay the return shipping — a manufacturing or shipping problem is ours, not yours.

Wrong size

Read the sizing note above before you order. Our labels run big, and that's what catches most people.

If it still doesn't fit, email us within 7 days and we'll take a look. A swap isn't automatic — we decide each one on its own. We say yes often, but it's a call we make, not a rule you can hold us to.

If we say yes, here's how it works: the piece has to be unworn, unwashed, tags still on, and we have to still have your size on the shelf. You cover shipping one way, we cover the other. Swaps only — never a refund, one per order.

One-size pieces can't be swapped. There's only one size, so there's nothing to swap into. Same for drop pieces — see below.

What isn't covered

Changed your mind. Ordered the wrong thing. Wear, washing, or shrinkage after you've worn it. Anything past the windows above.

Before you call your bank

If something is wrong with your order, email us first. We answer, and we've never not sorted something out.

A chargeback filed before you've contacted us costs a small business real money on top of the sale, and it takes months to resolve — for both of us. One email is faster than a dispute, every time.

Limited drops

Some pieces are released as one-off drops, in very small numbers, sometimes one of one.

Drop pieces are final sale, damaged-only — the size exchange above does not apply to them, because there is no second one to swap into.

We'll always say clearly on the page when something is a drop piece.

What's ours

The Made In the Hood name, logo, designs, and artwork belong to Made In the Hood LLC. Buying a shirt means you own that shirt. It doesn't mean you can reprint the design, and it doesn't give you any right to the brand.

Photos of the pieces are ours too. Tag us and repost all you want — that's the point. Don't use them to sell anything.

The legal part

We stand behind our pieces. What we can't do is take on liability beyond what you paid us. If something goes wrong, the most we owe you is the amount of your order.

These terms are governed by Louisiana law, and anything that can't be settled by email gets settled in Orleans Parish.

If any part of this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

We can update these terms, but the version in effect when you ordered is the one that applies to your order.
